The performance band Fox On Ice presents part of their new, international music theatre project POLYXENA before the world premiere in Troy/Canakkale. A musical and cinematic reinterpretation of the myth with Homer experts Georg Danek and Michael Köhlmeier.
Following the international success of “Orlando Trip”, Fox On Ice is currently developing the second part of its trilogy about European myths: POLYXENA. The “Iliad” from Homer is told from a female, contemporary perspective and is transformed into a visually powerful concert performance that combines music, theatre, literature and film.
With TROJA FOREVER, a selection of the songs and visuals will be shown for the first time before the world premiere in Cannakale/Troja and the secrets surrounding the enigmatic female figure Polyxena and one of the most spectacular finds in recent archaeological history will be revealed.
The outstanding Homer experts Michael Köhlmeier and Georg Danek join us to analyze Homer’s timeless epic about the senseless destruction of the city of Troy by a cruel and childish war. Iconic heroes, stories, scenes and images are illuminated in a new and lively way.
